Rorisang Kgwathe

Hails from South Africa where he was a member of two Pretoria theater companies – WHPS and BM Tekprep. His film and television credits include candidacy in South Africa’s television program Popstars (finalist) and a participant of the Roar Short Film Festival in the films In the Garden of Getomini and Fried Chicken. For the past seven years Kgwathe has been performing as ensemble singer with director Julie Taymor’s Broadway musical The Lion King in the Australia, China, France productions and is currently in the German production serving as ensemble singer and cover to the role of Bonzai, the Hyena.  He also performed in the La Grand Fête du Théâtre Musical (A celebration of musical theater) at Théâtre Comedia featured in a musical rendition of Broadway musical RENT’s “I’ll Cover You”, French adaptation by Herve Lewandowski and Aurélien Berda and staged by Wanjiru Kamuyu. He is a founding company member of WKcollective.
